Renewing, without the hostage-taking

No stored card, no silent charge on the anniversary, no phone tree. Place an order, tell us your username, and the same line rolls forward.

Why it works this way

We deliberately cannot charge you automatically

Most subscription businesses keep a standing authorisation against your card and take the next term whether you noticed or not. We hold nothing. When your term runs out, access stops and the decision is entirely yours.

That costs us some renewals. It also means nobody has ever discovered a StreamWay charge on a statement months after they stopped watching, and we think that trade is worth making. It is the same reasoning behind the single-device rule explained on our about page.

The one thing we do need is your existing username. Without it the system issues a fresh line, and you end up re-registering the app for no reason.

The process

Four steps, about five minutes

Check the expiry date

Open IBO Player. Your account expiry is printed on the home screen — no portal login needed.

Place a new order

Pick any term on the order page. Renewals are not restricted to the term you had before.

Add your username

Put your current StreamWay username in the notes box. This is the step that matters.

Restart the app

Once we confirm, close and reopen IBO Player. The new expiry date appears immediately.

Questions renewing subscribers ask

Do I have to renew on the same term I had before?

Not at all. People commonly start on the intro month, move to six months once they are satisfied, then settle on the annual plan. All five terms on the rate card are open to existing subscribers.

What if I renew a few days late?

Nothing is lost. Your username stays reserved for 30 days after expiry, so a late renewal picks up exactly where you left off — same line, same app registration, no re-install. After 30 days the username is released and you would start fresh.

Can I renew early?

Yes, and it is the safer habit. Order any time in the final fortnight and we append the new term to your existing expiry rather than overwriting it, so you lose no days by being organised.

I have changed television since last time.

Renew as normal, then re-register the new device on the IBO portal using its own MAC and device key. The install guide covers the registration step. Your subscription is not tied to a particular screen, only to one screen at a time.

I have forgotten my username.

It appears on the IBO Player home screen alongside the expiry date. If the app is no longer installed, message the desk from the email address you ordered with and we will look it up.

Renewing more than one line? List every username in the notes box on a single order and we will extend them together. Partners managing lines for customers should use the credit balance in their panel instead — see the partner programme.

Ready to roll it forward?

Twelve months works out to CA$5.83 a month — the lowest rate we publish, and it locks for the full term.
