Who runs StreamWay

A small network operation on 3rd Avenue South in Saskatoon, carrying television to 61,000 Canadian households since 2014.

We started because the bill made no sense

In 2014 a household on the Prairies was paying somewhere north of a hundred dollars a month for a cable bundle, a rented decoder, and a channel list where two thirds of the entries were shopping networks. The three of us who started StreamWay had all worked on carrier networks, and we could not reconcile that bill with what the underlying delivery actually cost.

So we built the thing we wanted: one flat price, the entire grid included, delivered over the internet connection people were already paying for. Twelve years later the model has not changed. What has changed is the size of it — 22,000 live channels, 118,000 on-demand titles, and 31 edge nodes carrying the load.

What we are, precisely

StreamWay is a licensed reseller of IPTV access. We do not originate a broadcast signal and we do not host channels on our own hardware. We contract for capacity with upstream distributors, engineer the delivery layer that gets it to your screen reliably, and stand behind it when something breaks. That distinction matters legally and we would rather state it plainly here than bury it in the service terms.

Decisions we made on purpose

One player application, not twelve

StreamWay works exclusively through IBO Player. Supporting a dozen apps sounds generous until you call support and the person on the other end is guessing which menu you are looking at. By standardising on one, every member of our desk knows that interface by heart. The installation guide covers it end to end.

One device per subscription

We do not sell multi-room bundles. Splitting a single line across three televisions is the most common cause of the stuttering people blame on their internet provider. If you need a second screen, take a second subscription — at CA$5.83 a month on the annual plan, that is still a fraction of a cable bundle.

No standing authorisation on your card

Subscriptions do not auto-renew. When your term ends, it ends, and you decide whether to renew. We would rather earn the next term than collect it quietly from a card you forgot about.

Where we are

Our registered office is at 218 3rd Avenue South, Suite 410, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan S7K 1M1. The support desk works from there, which is why replies tend to arrive on Central Standard Time and why somebody is usually still around on a Sunday evening. You can reach us here.

A word on lookalikes. The IPTV market attracts copycat sites trading on other people’s names. StreamWay operates from streamway.ca and no other address. If you were sent somewhere else claiming to be us, it is not us — and anything you paid there did not reach this office.

How we work

Four commitments we hold ourselves to

Published prices are the prices

What you read on the rate card is what you pay. No activation charge appears at the last step.

Real people on the desk

Messages are answered by staff in Saskatoon, not a script. Median first response is under forty minutes.

Capacity before marketing

We add edge nodes ahead of subscriber growth rather than after the complaints start arriving.

Your data stays put

We do not sell subscriber lists or hand details to advertisers. The privacy policy spells out exactly what we keep.
